A Mother's Day, a bike and a harmonica
Hayden and Hugh took me out for a nice breakfast on Mother's Day. It rained most of the day, but we made the best of by baking up some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. This was the first time we all made cookies together. Hayden was a huge help with making the cookies, but not with eating them. He never wanted to try one.
Hayden got his birthday present a month early due to a great Craig's List find. He loves his new bike and you can tell how proud he is riding it. He is king of the road. It is funny, Hugh and I had to learn how to steer the thing (it has rear wheel stearing). I knew Hayden would need to learn how to ride it, but I never thought that I would need to learn how to drive it.
Hugh and I picked up this harmonica at the Old Town School of Music. It is actually a great instrument for him to play because it always sounds good, no matter how you play it.

ATL in April
Traveled down to GA for a jam-packed fun weekend. The boy was such a good traveler. He talked about nothing but cars, trucks, trains and airplanes the whole time. He had a great time seeing his Grammy and Grandpa Connelly and his Grandma and Grandpa Ellis. He LOVED hanging with his Aunt Kristina (or as Hayden would say "Nina"). We hit the High Museum of Art and on the opposite end of the spectrum, Chuck E. Cheese.

spectacles
today hayden found some glasses and wore them all morning long.
it was a bit of an obsession.
bath times tend to turn into a big clowning around session. i don't know what happens, but hayden gets a surge of super spastastic craziness. i kind of can't wait until summer when we can get him in the pool. there is no telling what he will do.
